Twitter is constantly striving to provide advertisers with a platform with a simpler and better advertising suite.
Starting this week, Twitter will to present some new updates regarding the ad suite, these new updates are reported to test three new formats, which include collection ads, product explorer and interactive texts. These new updates will bring many benefits to advertisers, but on the contrary, users will have to get used to these updates because their timeline will become a bit more commercial.
With collection ads, advertisers will be able to showcase their products to their respective users. Brands will have a facility to display a main image with five relatively smaller visual thumbnails just below the main image. Customers can easily scroll through these thumbnail images and each of these images will be provided with a link to redirect customers to a specific product page or a different website.
The second feature i.e. product explorer will also help advertisers to showcase their products better. With this new feature, customers will be able to see three-dimensional advertisements on Twitter and can rotate the desired products to get a better view of the product from different angles. Other social media platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and Pinterest have already made this update available to its users. But this will be the first time that Twitter has displayed three-dimensional ads.
Last but not least, the third major update that will soon be released by Twitter is for interactive texts. With this new feature, advertisers will be able to highlight three words in their advertisements. These ads will appear in a bolder and larger font compared to standard Twitter timeline fonts. Additionally, advertisers will have the option to choose between ten colors to highlight their advertisements. And by clicking on these highlighted words, the customer will be redirected to the pages chosen by the brand.
With these new updates, it will become easier for brands and marketers to gain significant attention from their customers. The three formats mentioned above will be made available to people in the United States on Android devices, the web as well as iOS devices. While there is no set date for a full rollout of these updates, Twitter is working hard to make these updates available in all regions soon.
