7UP, the leading brand of lemons and limes in the UK[1], is launching its popular 7UP Free Cherry in a 500ml bottle for the first time, to capitalize on the opportunity presented by on-the-go soft drink occasions. The new format will be available from 7and March, and will be supported by in-store visuals.

Ben Parker, Home Commercial Director at Britvic, comments: “The initial rollout of 7UP Free Cherry in on-the-go formats was one of the biggest new product launches in the category in the past two years.[2]with the flavor currently worth an impressive RSV of £5.7million[3].

“As we head into the summer months, 7UP Free Cherry’s new format will be a great addition to coolers, especially alongside meal offerings, as soft drinks are the second most consumed soft drinks with food out of the house.[4]. In fact, our recent research shows that nine out of 10 shoppers say flavor and taste are key considerations when choosing their on-the-go soft drinks.[5]. Seven in ten also say sugar content, or lack thereof, is an important aspect of their choices[6]therefore 7UP Free Cherry is perfectly positioned to meet this demand from on-the-go consumers.”

A broader digital and out-of-home media campaign, live from May to the end of August, will draw shoppers’ attention to the new format and highlight the different flavors available at 7UP, giving them more opportunities to enjoy their lemon. favorite and brand of lime.
